Meet Our Clients

Customized Red Cottage

“We looked at every floor plan on the web. When we saw the Red Cottage plan we knew it was the one. Beautifully balanced, spacious but modest, great flow, graceful lines, charming accents. Empty-nesters can live entirely on the first level, but there’s a distinct second-floor living space for family or guests. We worked with Brian on custom modifications to the rear of the home, adding a “wall of windows” to take advantage of light and views. Brian is a good listener and was always able to translate our half-formed comments into professional design. Our builder usually insists on clients using “his” designer, but after reviewing Brian’s drawings he was pleasantly surprised with the quality of design, local code compliance and attention to detail in the plans.”

“It’s a beautiful home, we believe a masterpiece design that will be a timeless classic. We’re proud to be owners of a Brian Eicholtz “Red Cottage.””

Customized Mountain Cottage

“We plowed through many books, and looked at numerous sites searching for a house plan that would fit our criteria.  One day, we came across Brian’s designs and were immediately enchanted!  His designs stood out in functionality, creativity, and “real-life-everyday-livability”.  Once we knew that his was the design we were looking for, we contacted him for help on some modifications. This is where a very friendly and professional relationship developed.  He listened with an intuitive ear to our requests and then worked diligently to produce an amazing space that will accommodate us, as well as a spacious apartment for my parents.  Now that the house is in the final stages of building, we could not be happier with the result!  We get comments from everyone, from those who have worked on it to friends that have visited, that is indeed an outstanding, out of the ordinary design.  It is an extremely well thought out, beautiful house and we have Brian to thank for his tremendous talent, time, and patience.”

The Executive Mountain Cottage

“Brian, It was a pleasure meeting with you and Heather yesterday and a privilege showing you both our home. Amy and I cannot express enough gratitude regarding your vision and design of our home. We would change nothing with the interior or exterior design which truly is a rarity after building a home not to mention more importantly your attention to detail. We cannot wait until spring to finish the landscape and driveway to complete the vision (see attached).

Again Amy and I cannot “Thank You” enough for your talent, your unique vision and all the extra hours spent to make our house the “home of our dreams”!

We will contact you regarding the date of our builders party and hope that you and Heather can make it.”

Best regards,

Jack and Amy Parise, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Customized Red Cottage – Net Zero Home

“Brian, Good to hear from you!  The clients and myself are very happy with how the house came out.  Not only is it inspired by your beautiful red cottage design, but this is also a true zero energy house, with a HERS rating of zero. I was actually going to send you some photos once the landscaping and yard were a bit more established, but I haven’t gotten a chance to yet.  Attached are the most recent pictures I have taken in early spring.  I checked out the new website and I really like your style, I am particularly fond of some of your bungalow style plans.”

All the best,

Nick Lehto, Connecticut
